I had a lot of fun making this video and made wonderful keepsakes to cherish my sons birth forever! (Not that he isn’t enough of a keepsake himself lol) Please comment any questions you may have!
Here are some great blogs I found on these DIYs:
Placenta prints: https://www.verywellfamily.com/how-to-make-a-placenta-print-4111073
Placenta tree: http://elizabethsantos.com.au/2016/04/24/how-to-plant-a-placenta-tree-your-baby/
Umbilical cord dehydration: https://placentaremediesnetwork.org/umbilical-cord-keepsake/
These links provide great information and insight on the history and importance of upcycling your placenta. In many cultures, the placenta is revered as a life giving organ. The placenta is full of nutrients great for feeding a tree, or encapsulation to aid postpartum healing. The tradition of planting the placenta is a wonderful way to honor and respect the first home to your baby and pay homage to the miracle of life.
I highly recommend these processes to all future mamas and even if it’s not for you it may just be interesting to see!
Thank you all for the love and support! ~Kaestheticleigh
